Web Analytics Specialist

Parallel Path (Boulder, Colorado), is looking for a Web Analyst to support our growing Internet marketing business.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • - Analyze mobile and traditional website behavior and customer experience.
    - Consolidate and validate data as necessary.
    - Work with Director of Analytics to create and complete multivariate and A/B testing documents and post-test analysis.
    - Create and manipulate various filters for Google Analytics profiles; knowledge of regular expressions (RegEx) a plus.

Skills and Specifications

  • - Bachelors Degree or Currently studying computer science, math, business and/or marketing
    - Exposure to or have worked with Google Analytics, Omniture, Core Metrics, etc.
    - Experience modifying the Google Analytics Tracking Code (GATC) as necessary.
    - Experience with basic HTML and CSS
    - Have experience with java script (writing and manipulating)
    - Interest in online and web behavior
    - Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
    - Work well as an individual or on a team
    - Superior Excel skills
    - Independent thinker
    - Some experience in advanced web analytics methodologies such as multivariate and A/B experimentation and testing, competitive analysis, surveys and market research a plus.
    - 1-2 Years experience w/Web Analytics
    - 1+ years in web development .
    - Bachelors Degree in Marketing, English, Math, Computer Science or Business
    - Located in Denver/Boulder metro area.
    - Looking for full-time employment.

PPC Specialist

Parallel Path (Boulder, Colorado) is seeking a talented PPC Specialist to develop, build and manage online marketing campaigns to support our growing Internet marketing business.

The Pay-Per-Click Specialist will effectively develop, build, and manage client’s pay-per-click (PPC) campaigns including set up, support, reporting and analysis on projects of various sizes.  Responsibilities include conducting in-depth client and competitive research, designing campaigns around customer goals, keyword research, writing ad copy, data mining, statistical analysis and much more.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

- Develop and build custom campaign strategies
- Manage both domestic and international paid search campaigns across multiple engines, ensure that campaigns are tasked properly, completed as scheduled and exceed  all client goals
- Continually optimize pay-per-click campaigns in Google AdWords, Microsoft Adcenter, and other search engine marketing platforms
- Utilize bid management tools and data modeling to maximize the effectiveness of PPC campaigns
- Keyword generation, testing, and landing page optimization
- Proactively offer strategic campaign recommendations
- Plan and implement keyword, ad copy, and landing page tests to produce optimal conversion results.
- Manage campaign budgeting and ROI
- Deliver weekly and monthly performance reports/analysis to clients
- Report performance to executive staff
- Build on understanding of industry through continuous research on trends, have an in-depth understanding of each paid search engine, its functionality, and strategies for successful campaigns
- Interface with sales and marketing team members regarding business and product development
- Share your knowledge with team members to improve agency’s overall service delivery

Hard Skills                               

- Working Knowledge of:
- – Google Adwords
- – Adwords Editor
- – MSN Adcenter
- – Google Analytics
- – Proficiency across all Microsoft Windows Products
- – -Excel: pivot tables, macros, formulas, etc.
- – Basic Understanding of HTML, Java, CSS

Annual Parallel Path Rafting Trip

Last Friday, the team (most of us, anyway!) headed up to Poudre Canyon outside Ft. Collins for our annual whitewater raft trip.  We remembered to book early this year, so this water was still nice and high, running at 3,080 cu. ft/sec (which is really fast!).  Everyone had a great time and all made it back in one piece.  Already looking forward to next year’s trip – maybe an overnighter this time?

Boulder Marketing Collective a Great Success

Parallel Path’s first Boulder Marketing Collective event (bmc v1.0) was a great success last night.  We held the event in our courtyard in downtown Boulder (just off the Pearl St. Mall).  Creatives from other local ad and marketing agencies joined us to connect with one another over killer margaritas and a chips and salsas bar provided by Illegal Pete’s (just up the street from us) along with live music by Boulder fave JohnnyO.  The event was originally planned for the end of May, but the rainy days forced us to postpone and we were rewarded with a beautiful summer evening! We may just have to hold more of these!
