PPC Tips
1. Never Forget to Organize!
In PPC Organization is almost as important as your keywords. You need to keep in mind that your account can grow, and large accounts can be hard to manage. So always build your account with that in mind. Take full advantage of the available structure. Use multiple campaigns with multiple ad groups instead of one campaign with all your ad groups in it. Setup your ads so that you can add multiple offers to them without losing your message. If you keep organization in mind when building you can avoid the pitfalls and time associated with reorganzing your account at a later date.
2. Setup your PPC campaign and Content Campaigns separately in Google Adwords
Setting up your PPC campaign separately from your Content Campaign will help improve your CTR and Quality score, thus lowering your cost per click for higher positions. Other added benefits to setting up your content campaigns separately from your PPC campaign is you can track performance separately, easily change bids on a keyword level and turn on and off specific terms for each network.
To setup a campaign for PPC only go to Google Adwords, “Edit Campaign Settings” within the Campaign and simply turn off “Content”. For content only campaigns follow the same steps only turn off “Google Search” and select “Content”.
Helpful Hint : Be sure to name your campaigns specifically to Content or PPC Only to help decipher the two.
