Parallel Path (Boulder, Colorado) is looking for a talented driven individual to design, develop, and deploy key software technologies to support our growing Internet marketing business. Parallel Path is defining various proprietary tools that extend our service offerings and streamline current service delivery, and we are looking for a lead developer to make these tools a reality.

Key Responsibilities
Help concept, write, modify, debug and support application and website software. Write code to create applications, either stand-alone or those which access servers or services. Create complete software documentation (requirements, design, user, etc.). Establish and execute revision control, test, and release procedures.

Knowledge
Required:

• HTML, XHTML, PHP, Ajax, CSS, JavaScript
• MySQL or other Database Programs
• Web Services, including but not limited to APIs, Web Service Calls/Protocols, etc.
• Experience with high-level web programming languages such as Python, Ruby, etc.
• Extensive GUI Programming and Design
• Some knowledge of ASP/ASPX.net and SQL Server

Pluses:

• iPhone app development experience
• Jquery
• Wordpress
• Flash or Flex development
• Aesthetic vision or artistic eye
• Exposure to, or knowledge of, SEO Best Practices

Experience
5-7 years of direct software development experience, including concept-to-production release development.

Requirements – Hard Skills

• Experience with developing a software system architecture that includes various programs or applications that share and reuse components across projects.
• Excellent understanding of software development methodologies.
• Extensive MS Excel skills including Visual Basic programming and Excel template design
• All-in-one Software testing skills with tools such as Mercury or Rational
• Excellent front-end and application development skills. Must be able to code by hand, no Dreamweaver or WYSIWYG environments.
• Familiarity with versioning management systems and source control and deployment methodology
• BS or BA in software engineering or related specialty
